Chapter 44
I was in Dhalia’s arms still as the morning sun rose over the horizon. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get out of bed yet. The sounds last night were too much. Dhalia told me it was Riss screaming.
Dhalia:”You know Darling, if you really can’t take it and need a release… mommy doesn’t mind at all.”
What… she’s just like Xeneva. Still I should not cross that bridge. Dhalia was a vampire and a completely different species from me. Xeneva as well but we’re still considered mother and child. Plus she actually gave birth to me, and I spent time in her womb.
Roy:”I don’t think it’s a good thing for me to do that mom. I’ll just find a way to deal with it. Justin is my best friend so at least he should do well.”
Dhalia:”The only man I’ve been with was your father, and that goes for your blood mother as well as two of your other moms. Only Xeneva has been with other men, but she stopped after she had her two daughters until your father came along.”
Roy:”Mom, what are you trying to tell me?”
I was a bit puzzled by this.
Dhalia:”I’m saying I don’t have children, and I know you might find it weird but maybe one day if you change your mind it would be nice to have children with you.”
Wait… what? What? This is…
Roy:”Mom, do all my mom’s feel this way as well?”
Dhalia:”Yes.”
Roy:”Then why did you become my moms?”
Dhalia:”To lift the curse it was the only way, but we can’t really do anything about that now. Darling, don’t let this burden you. I’ve simply lived long enough that I’d rather just tell you my true feelings and let everything fall where it may. If you end up doing it with one of us however, you have to promise to do it with all of us.”
Roy:”I don’t think that will happen. Mom, I love you and appreciate everything you’ve done for me but I don’t think it’s healthy for you to play two roles like that. I already promised to be with Erisu.”
Dhalia: “I understand then darling, I promise I won’t force you. Your happiness is more important to me than my own.”
Dhalia kissed my forehead and I felt warm as she embraced me in a tight hug before getting up. Honestly I felt guilty about her feelings, same with Xeneva’s but at the same time I had to be firm about it because I promised Erisu.
Could I tell Erisu when she came back ‘hey uh… sorry but I am going to do it with my mom instead!’
I can’t do that!
Dhalia:”Don’t give me a sad face darling, mommy is fine. You’re still my son and I’m still your mom and I want you to be happy.”
Dhalia got herself together using magic and then teleported away like she always does. I really can’t understand why things like this always get complicated. I mean… she’s my mom so why does she have to have feelings like that?
Also, I can’t just disown here either when she’s done so much for me? She gave birth to me to give me a chance at life and now she’s making sure to protect me… I mean there’s nothing I can do to repay her or any of the women who brought me here.
I could only sit in bed and sigh. My sisters were probably down stairs in the dining room with all of Justin’s concubines. He was here with no relations to anyone and having the time of his life while I was waiting for Erisu.
I mean, Erisu was more beautiful than every one of them. In all honesty though, Erisu was about the same level of attractiveness as my two moms but with a bigger breasts, and she was still growing.
—
In the Rose Empire’s Capital the training grounds had valkyries training with the heroine and her companions. They were running drills and learning to handle a sword. The Valkyries were vastly superior in almost any way.
Erisu wasn’t as skilled as them but she was stronger and was able to hold her own taking advantage of the natural strength advantage where the Valkyries had to avoid crossing swords when fighting, but they were still skilled enough to get hits on her.
The Empress monitored her, and also personally trained her.
Empress:”Erisu, you are making good progress.”
Erisu:”Thank you, Empress.”
Erisu had now dropped the honorifics since she had arrived. There was no need for their use in the language and it was cumbersome for her companions since no one here even knew what they were or what they meant. The language here was closer to a germanic language like english, although she didn’t speak english and wasn’t sure how she was able to completely understand the words she had never heard of just two weeks ago.
The training was still hard and she fought hard every day wanting to make sure she was as strong as possible when the first wave of demon portals began to open. If she sealed them faster she would be able to go back to Roy faster.
The Empress however stared at Erisu as she trained. While she watched her form she also saw the breasts of the young girl and wondered just how they became so big. The Empress herself was well endowed but as a woman she still felt inferior to the heroine.
Mana and Sarai were about the same size as her, but the rest of the girls weren’t as gifted. Despite her observations the Empress kept her thoughts quiet as the sweat dripped down the neck of the heroine and into the large valleys.
Mana:”Empress, is there any training we need to do?”
Empress suddenly turned with her thoughts coming back to her. She had been dazed for a moment thinking about something far away.
Empress:”Mana, keep up with the barrier magic so no one gets seriously injured and Sarai keep healing those who do get injured.”
The two nodded and went on their way. Arla was in the middle of training with her guards. The Valkyries showed no mercy.
Arla: “Could you please let us rest?”
Valkyrie: “You think the demons would let you rest because you’re tired? Get up and keep going!”
Arla picked herself up and wondered why she volunteered for this in the first place. The Heroine was going to be an influential figure on the continent in the future after the sealing. She wanted to help connect her with her brother but there was already a fiance. What was she supposed to do when that fiance had the Adventure Guild Master as his mother?
There was very little information that could be found on that boy as well.
Valkyrie:”Arla! Stop day dreaming and continue running! You need more stamina if you want to survive!”
