Chapter 101
In the Castle the Empress Eliza Rose was sitting with the four who called themselves Roy’s mothers. Eliza still was fully armored not having removed any of it but she glared at the four of them.
Eliza:”The heroine and her two companions have left to the alliance to try and seek help for the Empire, but I don’t care. I’m dissolving the empire.”
The four of them were surprised.
Alondra:”Dissolving your empire?”
Eliza:”I’ve sent a letter turning it over to the alliance and I’m going to be leaving with Roy to a secret place somewhere in the mountains far to the north. I want you to teleport me there and then leave me alone with him. All of you.”
Xeneva:”Eliza, you can’t just decide this by yourself he’s our son-”
Eliza:”He is not! He is not your son! If he was your son why was he made to suffer so much? Why did you let him go on his own without protection? Did you think his fiance would protect him?”
Eliza laughed sardonically as she stared at the rest of them. No one could see her face but her eyes told them she was both angry and upset at them.
Dhalia:”Eliza, seeing Roy like that caused us suffering too. None of us wanted to see him like that. We all had longing for him as well as our son.
Sperra:”I took him with me on an adventure, he is my child.”
Eliza:”And all four of you want to have a child with him despite calling him your child! You’re all pathetic you know that? The reason I donned this armor was because it was said I would force myself on him. At first I didn’t think it would be possible then I realized I had a lot of desire for him. I pushed it off as being part of the curse but later I realized I do want to do that which is forbidden, and so I will.”
Xeneva:”You’re his mother… you’re his real human mother though…”
Eliza:”He won’t know that. He doesn’t have to know that. The four of you have experience running large organizations. If you don’t want the empire dissolved then you run it for me, I’ll leave you as the retainers while I spend time with Roy. If the Empire is going to be destroyed in a few months from the demonic invasion then I deserve at least that much time.”
Dhalia:”But you’re going to remove the armor?”
Eliza:”Yes, the armor must be removed. If I’m going to the the last person he’s with then he should at least have the option to lose his virginity. As long as he doesn’t know I’m his real mother then it won’t matter.”
The four women there were stunned and did not know what to say. Eliza was acting different than she normally was, perhaps it was the shock.
Xeneva bowed down.
Xeneva:”I’m sorry Eliza, I’m sorry I didn’t adequately protect him but you can’t just take him away. I’ve already grown attached to him and I want him around!”
The four could overpower Eliza together but they didn’t because they understood her feelings. Eliza had much more intense feelings towards Roy and maintained her distance from him because she didn’t want him to be used as her weakness. The Empire, unlike the other four positions was not a position of neutrality and had bad relations with the other nations due to their desire to fight and conquer.
Eliza:”If you want to see him again then make sure to fight off the demon invasion. You’ll have a harder time now and we all know why.”
Dhalia:”Eliza… I’m sorry…”
Eliza:”If you’re sorry then teleport me to the place I want to be. No one else is going there and there are enough supplies to last a few years. If you hold off the demon invasion then call me, otherwise I’ll spend the last years of my life with Roy while waiting for the demons to overrun the continent.”
They four of them couldn’t say anything. They had tried earlier to convince her to fight with them but she wouldn’t hear any of it. Eliza gave Roy up when he was a baby because there had been an attempt on his life by an unknown person who had been driven mad by a person in his dream called Anon.
Dhalia:”Eliza, we haven’t been able to find much on Anon so if he were too.”
Eliza:”Anon can only work if he can appear in someone’s dreams. We’ve done all the research on that while I stayed away from Roy! We don’t even know what his true objective was except to poison Roy with a curse we had to put him in your wombs for, and then now in order for Roy to be restored we used the forbidden technique again! What is Roy going to think when he finds out that the three fiancés he had also nurtured him in the womb in order to restore everything he lost? He’s just going to keep suffering! If that’s the case then there is no use in me using this armor to suppress my desires anymore! He’s going to be mine until the end of the continent! I waited long enough!”
Xeneva:”What about Erisu? She gave up her ability to wield the sealing sword in order to-“
Eliza:”She failed to protect him and take him back when she had a chance! It’s her fault in the first place! If she wants to be with Roy then she needs to thwart the demon invasion and give the continent another five hundred years of peace!”
Sperra was going to say something but Eliza interrupted her.
Eliza:”No! Enough from all of you! Ashes and my Valkyries will come with me. We are going to our teleportation portal and I’m ordering you to erase it when we leave.”
Dhalia:”I can’t agree—“
Eliza:”You will agree! This is not negotiable. I gave up his childhood to keep him safe, I’m not giving him up anymore!”
Eliza had a fierce look on her eyes. She ordered the Valkyries to prepare to leave to the place she had prepared to run away to. The place wasn’t on the continent but on an island off the south shore that had been prepared by her mother for her when she was a child in case they couldn’t fight the demons.
The small group moved towards the teleportation formation and Eliza looked at Dhalia.
Eliza:”You know where I’m going, but you better not come until the demons are gone. There is no alliance, no sealing sword, and no pure heroine.”
Alondra:”Eliza…”
Eliza:”What? You’re saying this isn’t fair? What isn’t fair is that the person I love the most I can’t even be around because of my rampant desire. This human society doesn’t allow it but the Valkyries are sworn to me no matter what.”
Roy was still comatose though his body had been fully restored. They moved him on a small leather gurney and kept him warm as the four valkyries carried him on their shoulders and took him through the formation. Eliza was gone leaving the four of them there in the deserted palace in the Rose Empire.
Alondra:”She…”
Dhalia:”Can you blame her? She gave up Roy for 19 years and right when she was about to meet him she finds out all these terrible things happen. The continent is weaker than it was five hundred years ago and doesn’t have the population this time to fight a similar invasion without the sealing sword.”
Sperra sat down sighing. Roy was someone she loved traveling with even though he was shy about being in between her large lumps. There was a certain comfort for her to put him there, and the thought of having children with him was something she would miss now.
The sealing sword had given the heroine a strong advantage when facing the demons, no matter their number. With it’s inability to fully activate now, there was very little hope. They had barely fought off the demons with the five of them and the thousands of powerful heroes in the first invasion, but so many of them died that the continent couldn’t recover in the short five hundred years.
Many heroic blood lines were lost, and it would take thousands of years for them to replenish once more.
Xeneva:”I’ll start gathering supplies. Alondra, you remain as the retainer and handle the human court. Humans might be different from elves but you’ve managed a Kingdom for a long time. Dhalia, will assist you in arranging the heroes.”
Sperra:”Anything for me?”
Xeneva:”See if you can recruit help from your beast clan. The Elves will probably aid Alondra since she was their beloved Queen and might even take her back. Dhalia should contact the adventurer’s new guild master and see if adventurers will also help.”
Dhalia:”I know we don’t have much hope but we have to try.”
Sperra:”Shouldn’t we go after Roy and Eliza?”
Xeneva:”I would normally advocate for that but I have no right as I had the most time spent with him as a child. If the three of you want more time then I won’t stop you, however I have two daughters now who had lost their husband and I must be there for them as well.”
The other three nodded.
Dhalia:”I won’t go after Roy for now. If we don’t succeed in holding off the demons then the continent will be overrun, and if only the Alliance survives then even if it’s not overrun Roy will be stuck in hiding the rest of his life. The Alliance wants to execute the entire royal line of the Rose Empire even if Eliza doesn’t care for it anymore.”
Alondra:”She built such a strong empire and never once cared to remain its ruler.”
The four of them sighed together. They knew that Eliza only made the empire because she wanted a safe place for Roy to stay, and if he had remained safe she would have eventually told him who she was but remained wearing her armor.
Sperra looked at the other three.
Sperra:”I wonder how Roy would take it if she has a child with him and he finds out she was his blood mother.”
